Art and Culture as Big Business

McLuhan talking about art and culture as big business. This is natural consequence of living in an information age. Education becomes business too. As he says: “There is no longer any gap between the campus and Wallstreet”.

  1. These days a banal observation. But what interests me is the use of video here to make the point. McLuhan (or his producer) understood how to achieve impact with lighting and framing.

    • Agree with you about the video production. Which part of the observation is banal? That there is no gap between the campus and wallstreet or that this is a natural consequence of the information society (for me only the former, for you maybe both)?
