  1. Yes and no — I wonder what he would have thought of the Bush administration not letting the dead bodies be shown returning home — if it wasn’t on TV, it didn’t happen. Similarly, when the Obama administration wanted the world to believe that they had in fact ended the Iraq war, they simply stopped coverage so that, in effect, it’s over. I wouldn’t say the coverage “is bigger than” the war itself — I would it IS the war itself as far as most of the world is concerned.
